Stephen Lang is an American actor and screenwriter. He started out at the Broadway Theater but is better known for his roles in "Gods and Generals", "Avatar" and "Don't Breathe". From 2004-2006 he was the artistic co-director of the Actors Studio.
Stephen Lang made his acting debut as Harold Loman in the Broadway production of "Death of a Salesman" in 1984 and appeared in the television series that year. 1985 with Dustin Hoffman as Willy Loman. He then appeared in the 1986 Hannibal Lecter thriller Manhunter, as reporter Freddy Lounds. In 1991, he appeared on NBC with the series "Babe Ruth". In 1992, he received a Tony Award nomination for his role as the title character in the film "The Speed of Darkness". The role in the 1989 film "Last Exit to Brooklyn" brought success and fame to actor Stephen Lang. On stage, he was the first to play Colonel Nathan Jessup in "A Few Good Men", a role that brought the actor to fame. /jack-nicholson/arqm">Jack Nicholson. He has won more than half of Theater Awards, including Drama Desk and Helen Hayes Award.
