Young / Before famous

  • In 1945, he joined the National Guard and was a reconnaissance soldier of the 101st Regiment (formerly Tran Cao Van Regiment). After that, he joined the Inter-Region IV cadet, the Inter-zone IV literary group.
  • Early 1954, he worked at the Military Culture and Arts Department under the General Department of Politics of the People's Army. People of Vietnam (the forerunner of Military Arts Magazine).
  • In 1957, Phung Quan joined the Nhan Van - Giai Pham movement with two poems "Mother's words" i> and "Anti-wasteful embezzlement". When this movement ended, under the influence of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, Phung Quan was disciplined, lost his membership of the Vietnam Writers' Association and had to go to re-education labor in many places.
