Pianist Thai Thi Lien is one of Vietnam's first female pianists. She is also the one who trained many famous pianists. She is the mother of the famous musician Dang Thai Son.
Artist Thai Thi Lien comes from a wealthy, Catholic family. Her father is engineer Thai Van Lan.
In 1946, she went to France to study abroad and passed the exam to the Conservatoire de Paris.
In 1951, artist Thai Thi Lien returned to live in the Viet Bac war zone. There, she taught vocal notation to musical troupes, sometimes conducting choirs.
