Duong Tu Giang real name Nguyen Tan Si, is a journalist, writer, teacher and a revolutionary activist.
Duong Tu Giang started out as a journalist, he wrote articles for Mai, Sinh's newspapers. Dong Ho and Truc Ha, Youth newspaper by Huynh Tan Phat. Time before the August Revolution, writer Yang Zijiang published a number of novels such as: Pathology published in 1937, The Chicken and the Dog published in 1939).
In 1950, writer Duong Tu Giang was wanted after giving a speech at the funeral of journalist Nam Quoc Can. He returned to the resistance zone in the Southwest region to cooperate with Thieu Son to work on National Salvation newspaper and perform cultural activities in the war zone. During this time, Duong Tu Giang wrote a number of plays.
In 1954, he returned to Saigon to work at the newspapers Justice, Telegraph and Duy Tan. On October 8, 1955, writer Duong Tu Giang and some other people were arrested by Ngo Dinh Diem's ​​government for being "friendly to the community".
On December 2, 1956, he died while escaping from prison. When he died, he was only 38 years old.
Later, his name was given to a street in Ho Chi Minh City. Journalists Association Dong Nai also organized the Yangtze Journalism Prize for journalists of the province.
