Composer Nguyen Van Dong received the National Music Award, presented by First Lady Tran Le Xuan.
Composer Nguyen Van Dong wrote the first songs when he was 16 years old, which is "" cadet marching", "Goodbye to summer". He wrote a lot on the topic of southern soldiers, songs such as: "In the afternoon of border rain", "Spring night guard session", "In the afternoon of border rain", "Several miles of mountain range", "King love song". class and class"... Nguyen Van Dong used the pseudonyms Dong Phuong Tu and Phuong Linh, to write background music for many operas and cai luong plays.
